Energy

Our experience with energy work is long-term and broad-based. It encompasses most areas of energy litigation and contract drafting and negotiations (except for title-related and mineral interest matters, and purchase and sale transactions). We regularly provide advice on, draft and negotiate, and litigate risk allocation, risk management, insurance, indemnity, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and other types of contracts between oil and gas operators and vendors and service providers.

We have litigated most types of casualty and commercial matters for and between those involved in the energy business representing clients as large as the oil majors to as small as family owned companies, and many in-between. Our attorneys have appeared in state and federal courts, and administrative tribunals throughout Texas. We also regularly work with local counsel in and out of state and with solicitors and barristers in Europe. Whether it is an oil well blowout in West Texas, a drilling rig collapse in the Middle East or as close as South Texas, a casing failure in North Texas, hydraulic fracturing incident, pipe defects claim, loss of a well during a squeeze cement job, NDE of an offshore pipeline issue or any other type of incident at a well or production or pipeline site or otherwise, we have the knowledge and experience to handle the matter.

We also provide advice on all types of indemnity, insurance, risk allocation and risk management issues for energy clients. Our advice comes from years of having litigated many cases in those areas of practice.
